Prepare:
First of all, it is important to define your hair type and the number of layers you need to wear:Layers:
1. For Fine or Thin HairLayers Required:1-2 Layers
Apply the first layer about 1-2 inches from the nape, and the second layer, higher up but still ensure it’s not too close to the top to maintain naturalness.
2. For Medium or Normal Hair
Layers Required:2-3 Layers
Medium hair typically requires 2-3 layers. Place the first layer around 2 inches from the nape. Add the second layer slightly higher, around 3-4 inches from the nape, and a third layer if additional volume is desired.
3. For Thick Hair
Layers Required:3-4 Layers
Thick hair generally needs 3-4 layers of extensions. Start with the first layer around 2 inches from the nape. Add the second layer 3-4 inches higher. Apply additional layers as needed, focusing on the mid to upper sections of the head.
Hair condition:
Hair washed and dried with cleansing or clarifying shampoo only, no conditioner. This helps the hair extensions stay in place more securely because the hair will be free from product build-up and silicones.
Tools:
Brush, Rat tail comb, Clips, Scissor, Single-sided or Double-sided tapeAvoid These Thing Your Hair for the First 48 Hours After Installation
The first 48 hours after installing your tape-in extensions are crucial for ensuring a strong bond. Follow these tips to care for your extensions immediately after installation:-
Hands Off: Avoid touching your new extensions. Allow the adhesive to set properly without interference.
-
Stay Dry: Keep your hair completely dry. This means no washing, sweating through intense workouts, or swimming.
-
Skip the Heat: Refrain from using heat-styling tools. No blow-drying, straightening, or curling for the first 48 hours.
-
Sleep Smart: Use a silk pillowcase and loosely braid your hair before bed to prevent tangling and reduce friction.
Apply:
1st Step:
Take out the extensions, follow the hair sections, and cut to the size.2nd Step:
1. Based on the section of layers, use a rat-tail comb to create a horizontal straight part or diagonal straight part(suitable for the sides or crown area); Do not have any curved shaped part.
2. Apply about 8mm from the root and make sure extensions are laid flat against the head&press firmly, so that it can move around freely, without creating any tension spots or pulling on the hair.
3. Lift them while checking for no stray baby hairs, to prevent this, using a tool like a hair gripper helps keep loose hairs securely out of the way.
4. Attach the single-hold tape or sandwich same-size extensions, to enhance adhesion, use a smooth plier or hands or unplugged flat iron to apply pressure to the tapes, pressing them together as firmly as possible.
Cares:
-
Wash Tape in Extensions Gently
After the first 48 hours, wash your hair gently to protect the tape-in bonds. Frequent wetting can weaken the tape, so avoid scrubbing the roots too hard.
Rinse your hair with warm water afterward, as hot water can weaken the extensions' tape.
-
Use Silicone-Free, Sulfate-Free Hair Products
-
Keep Oils&Conditioners&Serums Away from the Tape Bonds
-
Brush Gently from Ends to Roots Daily
Note:Once washing is finished, allow your hair to air dry for about 10 minutes before applying heat. Sleeping with wet extensions can cause tangling and matting.
